KONE Corporation, a global leader in the
elevator and escalator industry, will deliver People Flow®
solutions - including 36 elevators and the revolutionary KONE
UltraRope® hoisting technology - to a new high-rise development in
Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu province in eastern
China.
The new building will rise up to 416.6 meters and host a Kimpton
Hotel. It will become the tallest of the planned five high-rise
buildings in the Nanjing Financial City Complex and the
structurally tallest building in the entire city. Once completed,
the Nanjing Kimpton Hotel will also be the highest Kimpton Hotel in
the world.
KONE will deliver altogether 11 KONE MonoSpace® elevators and 25
KONE MiniSpace™ elevators that will be traveling at speeds of up to
10.0 m/s. In addition, the order includes the revolutionary KONE
UltraRope® carbon fiber based hoisting technology and KONE E-Link™,
a facility management tool designed to secure the best possible
tenant service quality.
"We are excited to be involved in the rapid development of Nanjing
and to smooth the movement of some 60,000 people using this new
building every month," said William B. Johnson, Executive Vice

The building is estimated to be completed at the end of 2026, and
it is developed by Nanjing Financial City Construction and
Development Co., Ltd.
KONE booked the order in the fourth quarter of 2019.
